One of my hobbies is watching a movie. I prefer to watch it at home though because I don’t like the smell of the theater.

Oh and I almost forgot that I bought three dads last week. They were on dvd discount that’s why bought more than one. So far I had only finished watching one. I didn’t even watch that one properly because my kids were everywhere. LOL!

Anyway I’m so busy lately that I don’t know when I can sit down and watch my other two dvds. I am hoping I can convince my husband to watch it on Friday night with me after his shift from work. We can also watch it with the kids because it’s an adventure movie and I’m sure they’ll love it too.

We just came back from a baptism. I’m glad to be with my high school friends once again even if it’s just a few minutes. We have known each other for twenty years! Although we don’t see each other often I love them dearly and won’t exchange our friendship even for gold bars. LOL!

While there I learned from one of my friends that she is already applying for her fiancee visa. So my prediction is before the year ends she will be reunited with her fiancee. I am so happy for her because she has waited for a long time for this. At the same time I also felt sad because I know that we won’t be seeing each other anymore. We have friends who went to the States years before but until now they haven’t gone back. We have dwindled in number over the years.

Anyway, she promised that we will see each other again before she leaves. Meanwhile I’m excited for her because she will be embarking on a new journey with her soon-to-be husband.

I have two boys and I love them to bits. But what drives me crazy is how fast they outgrow their clothes! I just bought my one year old some new house shirts and just this morning I noticed that it’s already too small for him. While he was sleeping he raised his hands and out came his stomach. If I’m not mistaken I just bought that shirt for him one month ago. So now I must mentally take note to buy him some new clothes at the mall. He has already outgrew a few batches of clothes. We continually clean out his closet and put his small clothes in a box to make way for new ones but I’m noticing we’re doing it every few months or so.

Anyway, as I’ve said my husband and I both love our kids. I’m glad they’re growing up fast but sometimes I wish clothes are like Cowboy Hats that still fits even after a couple of years or so. But as long as they are healthy I won’t mind if I buy them clothes every month.

We just came back to visit our friend and his wife. They just had a new baby! It was a week ago when we received a frantic text message from the husband. He asked us to pray for his wife who was a week early but is already in labor. A few hours later, we received another text that said all was well and their first baby has already been born safely.

So this morning we all went to see their small bundle of joy. Our friends are still a young couple but they already have a house in the province. They had nice furniture which they had custom built. Although I want rustic decor in our own house, I still like their modern furniture.

Anyway, we got to see their one week baby and he was so small! He slept so peacefully the whole time we were there. There were about 5 people talking in the room but he was still sleeping. Later when we started eating lunch and we left him alone on the bed he started crying. I guess little baby wants to hear people’s voice beside him that’s why he slept so soundly.

In a month, we’ll be looking forward to him attending church service so we can formally welcome him in our church community.

It has been three weeks since we had our vacation at Bohol Beach club and we still have a hangover. Bohol Beach club is truly a wonderful place to spend your vacation. The sand is fine and white. The water is shallow. It’s perfect for a family like us with two kids.

Most of the guests there when we arrived were Europeans. I know they had a wonderful time sunbathing. Of course, they also use tanning spray to make sure they achieve that perfect golden tan look. Meanwhile a morena like me doesn’t have to do that. As a matter of fact I tried to hide from the sun most of the time. It didn’t work though because I still came out tanner at the end of our trip. Anyway, I didn’t mind because we had such a good time there. If only we can have a vacation every month I think it would do wonders to our health.

I love working at home but there are some things I miss working at the office. Let me list it down.

1. I miss having officemates to chill and talk to.
2. I miss eating out.
3. I miss the air-conditioned offices.
4. I miss my 13th month pay and other benefits.

What I don’t miss from working out of the home is being away from my family.  So I guess I would have to do without the things I get from them like the free plastic business cards that cooly bears my name. There’s nothing more important than being with my little ones while they’re little. Anway, I can still go back to work when they are much older.

It’s a brand new year! I know a lot of you have really positive vibes for this new year. I am also very positive and optimistic myself. It’s only the third day of the new year and I have already written down my personal goals.

In addition to that, my husband and I had a sit down yesterday to write down our family goals for year 2012. It took us an hour because the kids were butting in and out of our conversation but yes, it’s already written down for posterity. It’s a small step to achieving our goals but I’m glad we already took that small step.

One of our goals was to have a budget for this year. I also plan to list down everything that we spend so we’ll have an idea where our money went. I am glad there are now online bill payments like ach payments because we can pay our bills easier. It also helps me to track where our money go.

I will tell you more about this later. If you haven’t done you planning yet I advise to do it right away. They say the people that write down their goals achieve success more.  It’s not too late because it’s only the first week of January.

My son loves Angry Birds? Well, who doesn’t? That’s why when we went to the mall to buy gifts he kept on saying that the only thing he wants to have is an Angry Bird t-shirt. Angry Birds merchandise can be found everywhere especially in the small stalls but I don’t know why I couldn’t find one at SM Department store that night. When at last I found a stack of Angry Birds t-shirts on sale I didn’t hesitate to buy two for him. So now he’s a proud owner of his very own Angry Birds t-shirt. Just look at his proud face!

Just one thing though, the t-shirts were supposed to be on sale but one was still worth more than P200! I hate it when stores mislead you when giving deals. That’s why sometimes I like shopping online more. For example, you get red envelope coupon codes it really means you get good savings. They don’t increase their price just so they could give a discount after.
