Let me share to you my two inspiration in working at home. These are my two cute kids. Because of them I strived hard to find a work online. I remember back when I was still working at the call center felt like my heart would break every time I leave my son home (Zack wasn’t born yet at the time). I didn’t want to leave him with a nanny but felt powerless because I had to work.

Now all my hard work has paid off. When my youngest was born I didn’t have to leave him even for a single minute. I tell you it’s such a joy to be with my kids all the time! Never mind that we don’t get to have a vacation and get to see the likes of Kissimmee hotels. It’s a sacrifice I’m willing to take for now. When they’re all grown up I am free to work anywhere I want. But right now as long as they are still growing and need me I hope I don’t have the need to go back to work in the office setting so I can be with them all the time.

This Saturday, we will be having the plan for our house drawn. This is in preparation for applying for a building permit that we need to have in order to start the house construction.

The plan will be drawn by one of our good friends who is an architect. She has lots of ideas already for the outcome of our house so we are happy to work with her. One she’s finished we will be racing to the city hall to have it approved.

I hope that in a few months the house will be finished and we can buy furnishings and little things that will complete the house such as the switchplate and the cabinets. We hope it gets finished in time for the rainy season so we won’t experience flood anymore.

Now that school is over and the summer season is here parents are looking for ways to keep their kids occupied. Here in our place, the parents are lucky because they can send their kids to music class for free.

Yes, our church is holding summer music lessons for the kids twice a week. They can choose from three different instruments – piano, drums, and guitar. So far a healthy number of kids are already taking the lessons. Everything is going smoothly. We just hope there is an extra Pintech Drums to be used by the drum group. If they have then the lessons will move faster and the kids will learn more before summer is over.

Since our house is just 80 square meters we will be using a lot of mirrors to add illusion of space. I browsed online and found the framed mirrors from SimplyMirrors.com simply adorable. I’m sure it will give elegance to our home.

Anyway, we are holding off any beautification project in our home because of its impending renovation. We are just waiting for the permit from the city hall before we can start anything done. I hope it will come out soon because the rainy days are soon to come. We want to be ready as soon as the first rain pour since our place is prone to flooding.

We lost our HMO when my husband became a freelancer. Until now we are looking for an affordable health insurance that can cover our whole family. I checked Insular Life’s website and found out they have an I-Care plan for families. I added the cost for me and my husband plus our two kids to be covered and came up with a P60k value.

That would amount to P5 worth of premium per month for a P120k coverage per illness. I am still discussing with my husband if we will push through with this. We are amping up our savings and investments so we can pay for our medical costs ourselves. But the reality is we need a couple of years more to be able to save enough money. We hope that we won’t be seeing nurses uniforms soon because we still have no health insurance. Instead what we do is we eat healthy and exercise to make sure we are in optimum health.

One of the consequences of being a WAHM is I stay sedentary for long periods of time. I admit I already have a belly that leaves much to be desired because of my lifestyle. I have also noticed that I am slowly gaining weight as the years go by.

That’s why when my brother-in-law came by to visit and I noticed his weight went down I asked for his secret right away. He said he was using myonox. I heard there were side effects of myonox such as jitters, palpitation, sweating and the works. I am a mother of two young boys that’s why I’m hesitant to try it.

I guess that means I just have to get rid of the extra weight the old fashioned way.
