Shopping Spree ...

That’s what we did yesterday. My husband was complaining for so long with his old clothes. I also wanted to update my wardrobe since I grew one size larger ever since Zack was born. So after buying the kids their clothes last week we decided it was our time to buy ours.

Our destination was Market! Market! Although we didn’t know it we were delighted to find out they were having a sale and yesterday was their last day. They had lots of clothes in their department store but what I like most are their clothes at the small stalls. I’m amazed at the variety of clothes they have over there. I’m sure if I look hard enough I can even find some equestrian clothing.

For our shopping spree we bought clothes for ourselves. I bought some tops and jeans and shoes but my favorite purchase is the hair straightening iron. It was quite expensive because it has titanium plate and not ceramic but I know it’s worth it. I bought one with ceramic plate before but I ended up giving it to my brother-in-law because it suits his short hair more. I couldn’t really use it with my long hair.

My husband bought some polo shirts too but his favorite are his brand new Levi’s jeans. It’s more expensive than the Lee brand but I know he’s more comfortable with the Levi’s fit.

Shopping is fun but tiring. I was still short of one white blouse that I would be using for our first anniversary but I was too tired so we just went home without buying one. Anyway, that gives me one more excuse to go back to the mall for another shopping trip. hahaha!

Good Old Days ...

I remember the good old days when we were still not married. Our favorite hobby was playing Ragnarok online. We levelled up together and even joined ragnarok events. Aside from playing games, we also like hanging out with my now father-in-law. Since we don’t have money then he would treat us and take us to different places (he still does it now. LOL!).He has a house at Sta.Rosa and we would sleepover there. For sports, they would play table tennis at his newgy table tennis. I would watch them play while eating home cooked meals prepared by his aunt and grandmother who are all a good cook. Now that we are married, we still like to spend some time there once in a while. The difference now is instead of just us we now have a brood to bring over.

Azkals T-Shirt ...

While we were walking around the department store looking for clothes to buy I saw this blue and white stripes t-shirt. I immediately told kuya this is an Azkals t-shirt although it’s not really one and just a regular soccer shirt. Kuya’s eyes lit up and I knew he wanted it right away. This just confirms how popular the Azkals are that even young kids just like my son knows them.

This “Azkals t-shirt” is a bit pricey for almost P400 but everything is pricey nowadays. Kuya is excited to wear it last Sunday service but I told him to save it for a special occasion happening at the end of the month.

6 Tips for Creating Your Own Printed ...

Greeting cards nowadays are a staple for any occasion, and are a nice way to show your appreciation to the people that you care about. Sometimes, however, store bought printing cards just don’t quite capture the message that you want to send. These 6 tips will help you along the path of creating your own personalized greeting cards which will ultimately make your gifts more meaningful, thoughtful and unique.

1. Have A Clear Idea Of What Kind Of Card You Want

Having a clear idea of the particular style of greeting card you desire will simplify the task designing a greeting card. There are several templates to choose from when you begin designing a greeting card, and having clear ideas makes the decision of choosing the layout. Greeting cards can be in landscape or portrait layout, and text can be placed in several spots.

2. Choose The Best Photo

If you would like to include a family portrait, be sure to capture a photo that will print exquisitely and will appear clean and clear. For family portraits it is a good idea to coordinate a family in the same color, however, each member can wear a different shade of the color. Avoid white in highly reflective backgrounds. If you are not using a family portrait, choose a photo that captures a unique moment in a unique setting. You want to choose a photo that enhances the emotion that you want to convey. Choosing the perfect photo for your greeting card can enhance the brilliance of any greeting card.

3. Chose An Online Website That Caters To Greeting Cards

Every website has different templates, designs, ideas and shipping options. Shutterfly.com can actually mail your greetings cards for you. Simply enter the name and mailing address and they handle the mailing of your cards. Shutterfly is also one of the most popular sites online because they offer many options, designs, and prices.

4. Use The Best Greeting

Take a moment to create a fun, festive greeting for your greeting card. Typically, online greeting card designs allow anywhere from 50 to 500 characters in greeting cards. Consider that folding cards accommodate more space for greetings. Websites also have pre-selected greetings that fit nicely with different occasions. One may choose to preview the pre-selected greetings in order to obtain ideas to spice up your own personal greeting. Keep in mind that Shutterfly and other online greeting card websites enable you to customize separate greetings for each card.

5. Take Time To Preview Your Card

Previewing your final draft is important. Some online greeting card websites such as Wal-mart and Snapfish will automatically incorporate your selected picture into every design to enable you to preview your design before spending time inserting greetings. Nonetheless, previewing your card in detail can save a great amount of time and money by making sure this is the best design before paying for printing and shipping.

6. Use Online Greeting Card Websites For Other Publications

Keep in mind that online greeting card websites allow you to design other creative publications. You can design your own invitations, announcements, thank you notes, reminder cards, or customized publication. That being said, this is a cost-effective method of announcing the birth of a new baby or inviting loved ones to your upcoming wedding or thanking a friend for a wonderful vacation. It is truly an innovative way to spread the news about a personal occasion with a touch of visual personalization.

Are You Looking for an Affordable Wa ...

Photobucket

We’re delighted to have found this affordable walker at SM Supermarket. Walkers usually cost P2,000 and up but we got this for only P999. Since we didn’t want to splurge on something that he’ll grow out of in a few months getting a bargain is very much welcome.

Photobucket

Baby walkers are great tools to keep babies out of trouble while mommy catches her breathe for a few minutes. This is recommended for babies six months and up. Introducing a younger baby to a walker might lead to injuries. It is also recommended to leave a baby there not more than 20 minutes a day.

Pampanga’s Best Tocino ...

When I’m lazy to cook I just usually serve fried meals. I can never go wrong with tocilog. I just buy a pack of Pampanga’s Best Tocino at the nearby market. One pack costs about P45.

Photobucket

It’s so easy to cook. Unlike the tocinos back then that you need to simmer in water, this you can fry directly. You know it’s cooked when the sugar starts to caramelize. Serve with egg and of course, fried rice and you already have a full meal. Our family loves this.

I Want a Netbook ...

My mom sent me a message on Facebook. She knows I am looking for a netbook. She said her neighbor is selling a brand new HP Mini 1000 netbook for 13k. I checked the specs and it’s exactly what my husband hated. You see he is against me buying netbooks and always telling me that they are so slow and I would not get any work done. I still want to buy one because this 14-inch Gateway laptop that I am using is so heavy. The battery is not working anymore so it has to be plugged at all times. Since I will only use the netbook for my blogging activities then I think it would not matter if it’s slow. I want something that I can leave on standby without worry because there are a lot of distractions at home. If ever the battery gets broken I’ll just buy new hp batteries because I heard they are much easier. I still have to convince my husband to let me get a netbook. I hope I can convince him as soon as possible.

Pregnant? ...

My husband is worried. He keeps on asking me if I’m pregnant. Our youngest is only 7 months old that’s why he’s worried. I can’t give him a definite answer because I don’t know myself. I still haven’t gotten my period ever since I gave birth. I know that breastfeeding moms would get their periods at six months and I’m already a month late if that’s the case.

If I’m not pregnant then that means I have to get fat burners that work fast! My tummy is protruding which makes my husband suspect even more I’m pregnant and I want to get rid of that. Hay, I’m worrying like crazy. Either way it doesn’t look good. I better get a pregnancy test to find out as soon as possible.

Wave Pool at Splash Island ...

Photobucket

The pool was so big at Splash Island. The wave was so powerful too. The only downside is the wave is not turned on the whole day but only at certain times. Too bad we didn’t know this from the start. If we did we shouldn’t have had stayed at the wave pool the whole time it was turned on.

My eldest enjoyed it but my youngest was trying very hard not to cry. Holding him is my mom and it was her idea to bring our 4 month old baby in the wave pool. LOL! Anyway, I’m glad my two boys were very brave. I can’t wait to go back swimming again.

Our Favorite Summer Activity ...

We traded our eotech with swimming gears last April. It was such a hot day so it was a good time to swim at the pool. Splash Island is a popular resort with giant slides, a river, and a big pool with waves.  There were so many people but the place was so big that we didn’t feel the crowd at all. Swimming is the best activity in the summer and it’s even better if you have your family with you.

Photobucket

The one in the background picture shows how big the slides were. We were nervous at first but it was all worth it in the end.
