Xenon Hid ...

A major safety concern among drivers is being able to see the road clearly especially while driving their cars at night. This has been made possible with the development of High Intensity Discharge (HID) lights by the car light manufacturing company Xenon.

What makes Xenon HID lights different from standard car lights? Unlike standard halogen light bulbs that contain a filament, Xenon HID lights have a tube of glass filled with xenon gas which is ignited by 20,000 volts of power from the car engine. The light that is produced is much brighter, making for better illumination of the road. Other advantages of HID lights over traditional halogen bulbs is that the high intensity beam that it emits never fluctuates (making for a stable beam) and its life time is eight times greater, thus giving the vehicle owner savings on costs of replacing car lights.

Xenon HID lights were originally manufactured exclusively for Porsche, BMW and Lexus. However, because of the large demand among owners of other car brands, Xenon has developed HID lights that could be installed in other types of cars.

Xenon HID lights has a list of suppliers and distributors on the web. To be sure that you are getting the general item, check out this list for distributors in your local area.
