Long ago, I dreamed of becoming a doctor. I wanted to wear a doctor uniform and help sick people. That is why I took up a pre-med course, Biology. It was already too late that I realized that I was never meant to be a doctor. A doctor’s job is surely a noble one but it was not for me. I was not comfortable at all in our lab classes where I had to wear a long lab coat so how much more if I had to wear medical scrub pants the whole day long?
Anyway, I’m glad I didn’t pursue to become a doctor because I am quite happy being a work-at-home mom. I can never see myself without my family by my side and I’m blessed to be working at home even though it’s hard sometimes. One time, I heard my son saying he wants to become a doctor. Maybe he’ll just be the one to continue my once childhood dream. Who knows?
